Excellent question! The honest answer is, I feel better writing about what occurred throughout my day and it alleviates a certain amount of stress I could be feeling. Even though I'm not talking to a particular person, I'm talking to the Internet, the second best thing. It also acts as a makeshift journal, so I can remember what happened every day, which could always be important.
